Acclaimed music composer Illayaraja’s son, Yuvan Shankar Raja, will make his debut as a music director in Bollywood with the Emraan Hashmi starrer Raja Natwarlal. The composer, who has won several awards down South and has worked on almost 100 films in Tamil and Telugu, has already finished working on the songs and director Kunal Deshmkuh is very impressed with his contribution. “Yuvan is very talented and extremely experienced. We just hit off in the first meeting, and I felt that Yuvan would do justice to the music that is more in the street – side, mass zone. He was quick to grasp the concept and it took very little time to explain what Emraan (Hashmi) and I have achieved in the music space with our previous films like Jannat, Tum Mile among others and he understood our requirements immediately,” mentioned Deshmukh, who believes that Raja has done a fantastic job. The Raja Natwarlal album has three romantic numbers, one dance number and in Hashmi’s words, “a dhinchak tapori” song as well. “It’s a well put together album, which has something for everyone,” quipped Deshmukh. Hashmi’s favourite from the album is a romantic number, that the team will be shooting during the ongoing schedule in Mumbai.
