Sold-out Jingle Ball rocks Amalie Arena

TAMPA (FOX 13) -

Tampa was rocking Monday night with some of the biggest names in music. Thousands of people packed into the Amalie Arena for the last performance of the nationwide Jingle Ball tour.

"All About That Bass" singer Meghan Trainor kicked off the night, all while celebrating her 21st birthday. Earlier in the day, fans made sure to show her some Tampa love, signing a large birthday card with well wishes.

The 93.3 FLZ-sponsored Jingle Ball brought 15,000 people to Amalie Arena, a sold-out show. And if you take a look at some of the headliners, it's easy to see why.

Pharrell, Nick Jonas, Meghan Trainor, Jason DeRulo, Demi Lovato and Jessie J, just to name a few.

"I love Jessie J- big, big fan," said Maurice Row. "I hope the U.S. makes her bigger here because she is an awesome, awesome artist."

The feeling is mutual with singer songwriter Jessie J, who couldn't be happier to wrap up the coast-to-coast tour in Tampa.

"Amazing! It's hot," Jessie J said. "I went shopping earlier and got everyone's Christmas presents in one shop. Tampa- it feels like a holiday place, so it's kind of ending the tour on a high note."

Not only did the tour bring together a group of incredibly talented artists, the all-ages show brought together families as well.

"Oh, we want to be here, too. We're excited," said Lisa Lefferts, standing with her husband and kids. "I've been wanting to go for years to Jingle Ball."

All of the fun also helped a lot of kids going through tough times. One-dollar from each ticket will go to the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which builds broadcast media centers at children's hospitals.

A sold-out show in Tampa means thousands of dollars going to those kids.
