Despite SoCal’s invariably warm, sunny winter, lots of holiday spirit fills the stage in the annual Music Center Holiday Celebration (also broadcast on PBS-SoCal). Amid six hours of music and choral ensembles, the free Christmas Eve show spotlights four top notch local dance companies. Hālau Keali`i O Nālani offers Hawaiian dance to Daniel Ho’s "Soon It Will Be Christmas." Live music inspired by Hebrew and Arabic melodies back Pat Taylor’s choreography for her JazzAntiqua Dance & Music Ensemble. Los Angeles Ballet contributes the Arabian pas de deux from The Nutcracker, while "The Night Before Christmas" gets a contemporary twist inTwas from choreographer Daniel Ezralow and his Ezralow Dance.
