Batch is a digital farmers' market and info resource that celebrates small-batch and independent producers.

We're big enthusiasts about the rise of artisanal food in Singapore, Asia and beyond, and we want to provide a platform to connect small-batch foodmakers and kitchen artisans with like-minded foodies. That's because we believe the best food and kitchen tools are often the ones handcrafted with pride, passion and painstaking attention to detail - the ones you've probably never heard about because they aren't mass produced in large quantities for supermarket chains and department stores.

At Batch, we will help you sniff out the most delicious and most interesting artisan food and kitchen products, and gather them all in one place for your 24/7 shopping convenience. We make sure all the products we carry have been tried and tasted, and we only carry brands that we would stock our own cupboards with.

Our aim is to build a sustainable lifestyle around living and eating well, rather than encourage mindless consumption. So we work with leading chefs, bartenders and makers to provide not just yummy consumables, but tips on how to best use, clean and store each product through recipes, household tips and behind-the-scenes peeks at their production process.

Meet the Team

Founder and Chief Curator Debbie Yong has been a full-time food writer with The Business Times since 2011. An avid food and news hound, and a voracious eater for her size, she can be seen semi-permanently perched by the kitchen counters of the city’s top restaurants and bars, sniffing out emerging food trends and profiling notable food personalities and F&B entrepreneurs.

Chief Contributor Stephanie Lim is an intrepid home cook and a busy mum to a tiny aspiring chef. In between playdates and slapping together wholesome meals for her family of big eaters, you'll find her trawling the cyber foodscape or staggering home from her local library under a pile of cookbooks, dreaming up recipes for home entertaining.
