The Penultimate Teisco: The Spectrum 5

Hey Teisco fans, Frank Meyers (drowninginguitars.com) has posted a video of Teisco’s coolest ever solid body electric: The Spectrum 5. This video features Mike Dugan (www.mikedugan.com) playing a classic blue metallic Spectrum resissued in the early 90′s, built by Kawai to the original Teisco specs (probably in the original Japanese factory, probably using new tools and templates that exactly matched the original).

The exquisite 1445 (I mean, by dept. store standards of course) was hand-crafted by Teisco in Japan for Sears. The body style is an excellent Teisco version of the 1960′s Mosrite of California guitar played by rock Hall-of-Famers, The Ventures (Walk, Don’t Run and Hawaii Five-O).
