A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors (1987)

HoS rating:

  • Dylan = 8 / 10;
  • Eloise = 9 / 10;
  • Raoul = 9.5 / 10;

Synopsis:

In a mental hospital, a group of survivors from Freddy’s previous attacks found themselves forced to face again their most evil fear. However this time, they are not alone and together with the help of Nancy, from the first Nightmare on Elm Street, they will learn to fight Freddy on his own ground.

Horror-on-Screen Review (by Raoul):

One of my favourite film ever! What I mostly found great this movie is that the writers have respected the rules by which Freddy can attack his victims and by which the victims can fight back (and they do fight back, for once!). The plot is well-thought with tons of imaginative ideas and crazy kills. The characters are very diverse and all very elaborated with complex personalities. The best point is probably, as for most Krueger movies, the kills. They are so unusual and inventive that you can watch the film over and over without ever getting bored. Easily the best of all the nightmare series in my opinion!

    Cool sequel! The idea of working with different characters that are all implicated with Freddy in their dreams is really smart and seeing them fight back in this parallel world is awesome. The Freddy “monsters” are really nicely designed and really gross, especially in the beginning when he’s eating the girl and he looks like a giant gooey worm! Movie full of action and novelty, must see!
