Synopsis:

Horror-on-Screen Review (by Raoul):
Two years after the promising Creep, Severance is the second film by great horror director Christopher Smith, who will later make the great movies Triangle and Black Death.
Severance is a refreshing horror survival film with a great touch of English comedy in it. The film starts as a classic slasher, with a group of people getting stranded in the woods with a mysterious killer hunting them down. Fortunately, instead of the lame characters usually found in this type of movies, the ones here are brilliant, all with over-exaggerated personalities which are real fun to discover. Seeing the bunch of them acting together is hilarious, and the film has got a great dark humor.
The story is really simple but a couple of interesting side stories, such as the possible identities of the killer, embellishes it to give a nice finish. Since each character is given as much importance as the others and you never know who’s going to die and who will survive. Using this, the movie manages to create quite a great suspense. There is also plenty of gory and yet fun death for horror fans.
In many ways, the atmosphere of that movie resembles the one of the mythic Shaun of the Dawn, and both deserves to be help among the funniest modern horror comedy.
