When you become a Fellow of the RSA you become part of a diverse network of like-minded people who want to build a better society.
In this empowering RSA Short Jody Williams, Nobel Peace Prize winner, explains why it is so important that we strive to make a difference:
Join a network that inspires
Our 27,000 Fellows come from a diverse range of backgrounds - together they are inspired by the brightest ideas, share our commitment to improving society, and are a force for positive social change. As a Fellow of the RSA you can:
Connect with other Fellows
No other organisation in the world offers such a unique network of individuals. You can meet other Fellows at a range of events or use one of our online platforms to connect with those who share your interests.
Turn ideas into reality
RSA Catalyst provides money, expertise and crowdfunding to Fellows looking to turn their ideas into reality and improve the world around them.
Share skills
An inspirational network of Fellows are sharing their knowledge and expertise through RSA SkillsBank. You can draw upon expertise from within the network to help you develop a project or invest some of your time to help other Fellows with theirs.
Use RSA House
The intellectual and social home of some of the greatest thinkers and social activists of the past 250 years. RSA House is open 5 days a week (8am – 8pm) to Fellows and up to five of their guests. The recently refurbished House offers a lending library, bar, restaurant, breakout spaces, a dedicated Fellows’ meeting room, and wi-fi throughout. Would you like a tour of the House? If so, email our Fellowship team.
Be inspired by new ideas
Our award winning quarterly RSA Journal combines original ideas from around the world alongside the latest news from the RSA and our Fellowship.
The brightest ideas from our Action and Research Centre and Public Events programme are made available to all – thanks to the support of our Fellows.
Support our mission
For over 260 years the RSA has tackled some of society’s greatest challenges. We seek out enlightened thinking and put it to work in practical ways, and through our unique Fellowship network we make our ideas and innovations available as inspiration, opportunity, and resource to all. Our ability to fulfil our purpose is dependent on how we work and the culture we create, in light of this RSA Fellows should be:
Independent and creative
Practical and resourceful
Consistent and demanding
Respectful and philanthropic
Becoming a Fellow of the RSA means that you fully support our mission, aim to uphold our standards and values, and commit to supporting us with tackling the challenges of the 21st Century.
