From Bolivia With Love: Boiron Supports Vitamin Angels
Boiron was excited to receive a video message from our friends at Vitamin Angels, a global non-profit whose mission is to reduce child mortality by providing children and their mothers with essential nutrients. Boiron will be donating proceeds from purchases of specially marked boxes of Oscillococcinum to Vitamin Angels. Each purchase will be enough to provide one child with vitamin A for one year. Look for the Vitamin Angels/Boiron display to hit stores in September 2010.

From Bolivia with Love
We just returned from a trip to Bolivia observing vitamin A distributions as part of Operation 20/20. The third day out, we were slashing through grass that covered our Land Rover and made the road completely invisible. The reality of how impassable these roads would become once the rainy season began was immediately obvious. We also knew why Pauline, a mother we met that day, had lost her baby, and why three adolescents from Lagunillas, Rosemary, Marybel and Jose, had lost their mom during childbirth three years ago. There is no medical help, no electricity, no running water and the poverty is extreme in these villages. I want to thank you again for helping us reach these children. When we’re out in these remote areas, hours away from even the most basic of resources, the reality of ‘reaching the unreachable’ takes on a whole new meaning. We could not do this work without your support. On behalf of the children, we thank you.
