Ramzy Baroud, an internationally-syndicated columnist and founder of PalestineChronicle.com, discusses how Mahmoud Abbas and his Palestinian Authority have lost their purpose and mandate; the legal consequences if Palestine gains membership in the International Criminal Court; and why the terrorist attack against French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo was motivated mostly by political, not religious, concerns.

We can all agree that the murders were sick and evil, regardless of who was responsible. However, this nonsense about defending freedom of the press in France is nonsense:

First of all, Charlie put out such disgusting and hateful publications that even Pope Francis couldn´t keep from commenting. Publishing degenerate hatred is the true definition.

Second of all, Charlie could never publish the same trash about the Holocaust or Jews because that is forbidden under French law – you go to prison for expressing doubt about the Holocaust or expressing anti-Semitism (whatever that is). Is that freedom of the press or freedom of expression? France has neither.

Je´ne suis pas Charlie, not by a long shot.
