CBS Affiliate Stripped From WISH, Moves To WTTV

WISH-TV will lose their CBS Affiliation to WTTV Channel 4 starting at midnight on January 1, 2015.

Employees at Tribune-owned WTTV channel 4 learned about the new affiliation and according to Sean Compton, Tribune's President of Strategic Programming, there is expected to be a local news component with a separate staff on WTTV.  Some details have yet to be hammered out, including local staffing decisions.

There will also be some Colts games, including playoffs, and NCAA basketball.  The new operation will be housed in the same building as Fox 59.

WISH has been the CBS affiliate for more than 60 years. CW programming which is currently on WTTV will move to 4.2 digital, and hasn't yet found a cable home as more details continue to be worked out.
