DONS defender Ash Taylor will require surgery after damaging cartilage in his left knee.
The 24-year-old hobbled off after an hour in the 3-3 draw with Dundee at Pittodrie.
Today it was confirmed that he will need surgery and is likely to be out for a few weeks.
Taylor and Mark Reynolds had formed a formidable partnership, with eight clean sheets in a row which ended on Saturday.
The centre-back recently penned a new deal with the Dons after a string of impressive displays.
