Egypt: Algeria, Egypt Affirm Need to Complete UN Process for Western Sahara Issue Settlement

Algiers — Algeria and Egypt affirmed the need to complete the process of Western Sahara issue settlement in conformity with the UN Assembly General and the Security Council, said Wednesday a release of Algeria's Foreign Ministry.

Algerian Foreign Minister Ramtane Lamamra has on Tuesday a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Choukri, as part of the mutual consultation dictated by the "solid" relations linking the two countries and their constant efforts to set the frameworks of solidarity and strengthening of the joint Arab action," the release added.

Moreover, Algerian and Egyptian foreign ministers exchanged view on the African questions included in the agenda of the executive council of the African Union (AU), in preparation for the African Summit next week in Addis (Ethiopia).
