Upgraded Chassis of Holding “Aviation Equipment” Increased Capacity of IL-76MD-90A

The structural changes of heavy military transport aircraft IL-76MD-90A (also known as IL-476), and including the chassis upgraded by the holding “Aviation Equipment” allowed to increase capacity up to 60 tons and a maximum takeoff weight up to 210 tons, the press service of the holding reported to the ARMS-TASS.

New sets of chassis for Il-76MD-90A are made by Samara plant of the holding “Aviation Equipment”. Under the contract with the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC), it will supply the chassis to the division “UAC-TS” up to 2020. Thereafter the holding expects to extend the contract.

The enterprises of the “Aviation Equipment” develop and produce landing gears, chassis, electric drives and other equipment under other programs of promising Russian aircraft. In particular, this entails new Ka-62 helicopters, “Sukhoi Superjet 100″, PAK DA, MTA, MS-21.
