Introduction of Kun Shan University

Overview

Kun Shan University (KSU) was established in 1965. It is a private university with the longest history. It is one of the most comprehensive institutes in Taiwan. Currently there are six colleges: the College of Engineering, the College of Business and Management, the College of Applied Human Ecology, the College of Creative Media, the College of Information Technology, and the International College. Those colleges consist of 25 Bachelor Programs, 15 Masters Programs, and 1 Doctoral Program which make KSU a fine school of higher learning. At the meantime, we have 665 professors and an enrollment of approximately 14,000 students.

The total campus area is about 22.3 hectares with 8 academic buildings and other research centers. Our library has 13 floors with over 36,000 square meters of floor space. We also provide 24 hours study rooms with 460 seats, and 80 seats audio-visual center. Our campus has very modernized buildings, advanced equipments, scientific management, well-organized administrative system, and the campus is situated in a beautiful garden setting.

In order to help international students with their academic and daily life in Taiwan, KSU established International Office in February 2004 and it turned to Office of International Affairs in August 2010. Office of International Affairs helps students to understand and to adopt Taiwanese culture. KSU wholeheartedly welcomes outstanding students from all over the world to join us.

Geography Location

Kun Shan University is located in Tainan, Taiwan. Tainan is the historical capital of Taiwan and it has the richest ancient monuments. The temperature is about 13-22°C during the winter and 26-33°C during the summer.

Our university is facilitated with most convenient location which is close to Tainan Station of Taiwan Railways, Tainan Station of Taiwan High Speed Rail, Tainan Airport, and Southern Taiwan Science Park and Tainan Technology Industrial Park.
