The Chicago Bears reached an agreement on Wednesday with Rick Perry to join the staff as an assistant strength coach, the team announced.

Perry worked the last 20 years as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach, including the last five years as director of strength and conditioning at Central Michigan University. At CMU, Perry organized the strength and conditioning programs for all 16 of the school’s athletic programs, while working directly with the football team.

Perry was certified as a master strength of conditioning coach by the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches association during his time at CMU.
