National Museum of History and Art (MNHA)
Charity by Lucas Cranach the Elder (1472 - 1553) or the Younger (1515 - 1586)
Painted after 1536 by one of the two Lucas Cranachs, Charity is, without doubt, a major work of the ancient collection of the MNHA. Note that a work on the same theme quite similar to this one is also exhibited at the Cranach Museum in Weimar.
