Alex Huke

Project Manager (Research Assistant)

My role is to support Professor Katrina Brown in the delivery of her AXA Outlook Climate Change and Resilience project funded (2014 – 2016). The role is a part time position for one day a week.  The AXA Outlook Climate Change and Resilience project examines the sources of resilience in communities in Kenya and the south west of the UK affected by extreme weather events. Katrina Brown, who leads the project, has shown how climate change interacts with other stressors and how interlocking risks produce socially differentiated vulnerabilities. This research will use Forum Theatre, an established form of participatory drama, to enable the sharing of lived experiences of climate-related hazards and the collaborative identification of solutions.

My substantive role is as Research and Knowledge Exchange Manager for ESI, within the Research and Knowledge Transfer department of the University.
