Sarah Harris – manager

Sarah Harris was born and raised on a sheep and cattle farm in New Zealand’s Southland and has been riding and working with horses virtually all her life.   She has been employed full-time in the horse industry since 17 when she worked at a local trotting stable and studied Animal Science and technology. She became a fully-qualified vet nurse by the time she was 23.

Sarah then travelled to America where she worked as a vet nurse in a large Maryland equine veterinary practise focussing on rehabilitation and quarantine.  Following her period in  Maryland, Sarah moved to Melbourne  and started working full-time at Epsom Veterinary Centre located at Caulfield as head equine vet nurse. Sarah then took on a manager’s role at ‘Hagen Park’ – an equestian property in nearby Perry Road Keysborough.  During this time, Sarah commenced her own rehabilitation business attracting a lot of regular business from many of Caulfield’s leading trainers and it was at that point Sarah realised that she wanted to do equine rehabilitation as a full-time career.

Sarah was intimately involved with the design and development of Keysborough Equine and lives on the property as full-time manager.
