Born in Sainte-Rosalie on January 30th, 1942, shegraduated in Business studies at La Malbaie in 1959. Ms. Lamoureux married the Honourable Pierre Duchesne in 1963. They are parents of three children and grandparents of seven grandchildren.
During this period of life, between family and volunteer commitments, Ms. Lamoureux assisted her husband in his multiple businesses while participating in many social and sports activities under different titles. Back to school in 1985, she graduated in Office automation & Computer, and worked part-time for the Université Laval in several faculties. She finished her career as a project assistant at the Center for International Cooperation in Health and Development (CCISD).
Active member of numerous charitable organizations, volunteering in all its forms has occupied a large place in her agenda. Whereas traveling and reading have filled her curiosity, sports (tennis, skiing, golf in particular) have helped to maintain her physical fitness. After gaining some notoriety from cooking and knitting, she recently started to do pottery during her spare time at her secondary residence in L'Isle-aux-Grues. She remains available at all times to take care of her grandchildren, each of which considers "grandmother" as unique.
The new role of "spouse of the 28th Lieutenant Governor of Quebec" currently takes much of her time. Like her husband, she hopes to do the necessary to serve her fellow citizens with all her well-known energy. She chairs the selection committee for the Lieutenant Governor’s Seniors Medal. She has recently been appointed an Officer of the Order of St. John of Jerusalem.Bureau du Lieutenant-gouverneur du Québec
