Terminal 4 is one of the largest, most spacious terminals in the New York area. More than 30 international and domestic airlines carry millions of passengers annually. Regarded as `The Terminal of Choice', the facility is in the second phase of a major expansion project for Delta Air Lines which adds additional capacity and state-of-the-art technology. JFKIAT, LLC, the operator of Terminal 4, offers airlines a dedicated management company that oversees all landside, airside and terminal operations. Travelers benefit from a commitment to passenger service. Terminal 4 at JFK International Airport is a successful paradigm for air terminal management and a model of public-private partnership.

Passenger Advice

The Passenger Security Check Point is now located just after check-in. All airline lounges, shops and dining venues and all airline gates are located after security. Due to limited space, only ticketed passengers are permitted at check-in. Family and friends are encouraged not to linger in the area.

Effective January 13, 2015, Delta has grown its presence in Terminal 4 Concourse B by opening 11 new gates. All Delta flights continue to operate from T4 or T2, so please check your terminal before departure. Should passengers need to switch between T4 and T2, Delta has expanded its JFK Jitney to offer three shuttle routes to transfer between terminals. T4 shuttle stops are located at B18 and B54, and the T2 shuttle stop is located at C60. At each stop, customers should choose the shuttle marked with their desired Terminal location. Although times can vary, the shuttle ride takes between 2-6 minutes on average.

Please note that suitcases wrapped in plastic film cannot be accepted in our baggage system. You will be asked to unwrap your suitcase.

JFK Airport's Terminal 4 saw Milestone 2014

After completing a dramatic building expansion, the opening of several high-end retail shops, food & beverage establishments and the addition of a new global airline to its roster, JFKIAT LLC - the company which manages Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport - capped off the year with a celebration of the 17 millionth annual traveler - an increase of 2.6 million above the 2013 total.
