BRIEFLY:

Open Source Technologies should:

  • be free of encumbrances (e.g. patents are expired; inventor gives permission in writing)
  • have no intent to patent
  • claim no license rights

It needs to be is free and clear for public use to the best of the due-diligence knowledge of all involved.

And ideally, it should

  • have significant output from free energy input
  • be easy to build
  • be easy to understand
  • be affordable

Participants should take responsibility for their own actions and take necessary precautions to ensure their personal safety, and not lay blame on others (including PES) in the case of injury or misfortune through participation in these projects.

Technology Originators

  • certify that to the best of their knowledge there are no encumbrances
  • agree to not remove permission to open source once it is granted
  • agree to immediately inform the project of encumbrances if they are discovered after commencement of the project

Project Directors need to

  • do their due diligence to ensure non-encumbrance of the technology
  • not hold PES liable

Active OS Projects at PESWiki

  • Featured: Gravity Motors >
William F. Skinner's 1939 Gravity Motor - "It has weights that spin round and multiply the power of an 1/8 horsepower motor by 1200% -- enough energy to power a town of 3,500 at a cost of £1 a month. William uses the power of the model to work a 12 foot lathe that cuts ribbons of steel." (PESWiki; June 26, 2014)
  • Featured: Hydroxy / LENR >
Justin Church's H-Cat - In January, Justin launched an open source design he instigated that involves venting hydroxy or HHO gas -- un-ignited -- through a catalytic converter (the kind used in automobiles) -- in ambient conditions -- and generating significant heat in the process, which is probably LENR, given its platinum/palladium in the presence of energetic H (Brown's Gas). (PESWiki; March 9, 2014)
    • Featured / OS: HHO / LENR > H-Cat >
Sterling Allan's H-Cat Heater Design - I propose to 1) remove the outer insulation layer from the catalytic converter... and 2) replace it with a metal sleeve that leaves a gap of about 1/16 inch between the matrix and the exterior. That way most of the gas flows along the surface of the matrix, along the exterior, where you want the heat. (PESWiki; March 15, 2014)
  • Open source 100 MPG hydroxy project - "Here is the link to my crowdfunding webpage: http://www.gofundme.com/7d9oew The goal is to build a 100MPG car with hydrogen on demand, and a new way of using concentric tubes (aka joe cell). The car will have a stand alone ECU, that will allow mixture to be tuned very lean." (Free Energy Blog; March 24, 2014)
  • Featured / OS: Electromagnetic > Kapanadze >
Kapagen Open Source? - A number of researchers around the world have been attempting to replicate Kapanadze's generator. See the video of a device powering a 2 kilowatt heater, as a sampling of the hundreds of videos that have been posted. Do you know where a clear set of plans can be found? All commercial applications should remit a royalty to the inventor. (PESWiki; March 12, 2013)
  • Featured / OS: Fuel Efficiency > Retrofits > Fuel Pre-Heating >
Caggiano's FIVS Fuel Vaporizor Now Open Sourced - Allen Caggiano is open sourcing his fuel vaporizer technology that holds the potential to boost gas mileage several-fold while also improving performance and reducing emissions. The system involves pre-heating the fuel to over 900 degrees F to remove the additives that prevent vast mileage gains; then subjecting the fuel to magnets and electromagnetic fields, resulting in a crystal clear fluid. (PESWiki and BeforeItsNews; June 28, 2011)
  • Feature / Open Source: Batteries > Reconditioning >
Lead Acid Battery Reconditioning with Replacement Electrolytes - A group of back yard experimenters are looking a ways to rejuvenate used sulfur lead acid batteries by replacing the electrolyte with pickling alum, as well as magnesium sulfate (epsom salts), and even copper sulfate. It is thought that the new electrolyte reverses the sulfation build up on the plates of the battery. (PESWiki; Aug. 2, 2010)
  • Featured / OS: Gravity Motors >
Mikhail Dmitriev Gravity Wheel - This Russian inventor has been developing gravity-based power systems for years and says that the design has been widely replicated in Russia, even powering some houses. He says he has posted all necessary information to build the device, in which a small amount of power input generates much greater power output. (PESWiki and BeforeItsNews; January 30, 2011)
  • Feature / OS: Gravity Motors >
Chalkalis gives his Gravity Wheel design to the world - Greek inventor, F. M. Chalkalis, after 28 years of development, says he is now giving away his design for a gravity motor that he says generates ten times more power than is required to maintain it; or is that a math error? Several people look interested in replicating the design, which looks relatively simple, but won't be cheap. (PESWiki; July 9, 2010)
  • Featured: Fuel Efficiency > Water as Fuel > Hydroxy >
Self-Looped Anton HHO Cell System - Some researchers in Germany have excited the forums with their announcement of being able to self-run a 1000-watt generator from the HHO gas generated from the Anton electrolysis process. So the electrolysis unit produces HHO gas which runs a genset, and the electricity produced then runs the electrolysis unit. (PESWiki; April 27, 2010) (Comments)
  • Featured: Magnet Motors > V-Gates >
Mechanical Opener for V-Gate Magnet Motor - A video originally posed by Roobert33 shows a V-gate magnet motor that supposedly is made functional (rotation maintained) by means of a mechanical method for moving the stator magnets in and out of the way of the gate ("re-gauging") so that the gate doesn't become a lock-up point that otherwise would stop the motion of the magnet motor. (PESWiki; November 18 2010)
  • Featured: Communities >
Utah Safe Haven, Sustainable Village Project - I'm involved with a group of people who are preparing to build an intentional community based on principles of sustainability, healthy living, natural healing, individual responsibility, cooperation, and renewable energy. • Bill Williams' Joe Cell - In the first part of April, 2006, Bill Williams told a discussion list that he successfully tested a device known as the Joe Cell. It allegedly feeds off Orgone energy and uses electrically charged water as the "gate" or medium through which the aetheral energy is drawn from the surroundings and transferred to the automobile engine. He was in process of disclosing how he accomplished this when confronted on April 11 by two unidentified individuals who told him to cease all of his alternative energy work or there would be dire consequences. Williams complied, but others involved are doing all they can to make sure the information is republished and replicated widely.
  • Hector D. Perez's Rotoverter - Originally announced in 1999, Hector D. Perez has detailed a method of running a low-horsepower electric AC motor, connecting cables in a different way, as to achieve energy-savings and overunity. In 2006, a flurry of activity ensued, with videos, schematics, and articles posted. Many verified RV replications, one public verified creation by 1, a NPO r&d organization from australia (with video and petition to sign to make all electric motor companies utilize the RV-technology straight from the manufacturing plant). Directory:Norman_Wootan also verified overunity.
  • CD Motor Open Source Project - Experiment developed between Sept 2001-2004 under the direction of Tim Harwood, inspired by the claims of Robert Adams and his exotic pulsed motor technology, was widely replicated; is now published again. Allegedly achieves over unity, but no self-runners were ever achieved.
  • Acetone As Fuel Additive - Said to increase mileage 15-35%. Added to gas tank in small proportion improves the fuel's ability to vaporize completely by eliminating the surface tension that causes some particulates to not fully vaporize. Directory page created to compile date.
  • Ocean Wave Energy / Nikola Tesla >
Using Tesla's Valvular Conduit to Harness Water Waves - Proposal to combine (1) Nicola Tesla's "Valvular Conduit", patented in 1920, which is essentially a one-way fluidic valve, and (2) the Anaconda Bulge Wave concept of having rubber tubing move up and down with ocean waves, in order to provide a simple and cost-effective mechanism for harnessing sea wave energy. (PESWiki; July 18, 2008)

Percolating Projects

Projects with Contrary Conclusion

  • Featured / OS: Electromagnetic > Self-Looped Motor-Generators >
OS: Motor-Alternator Self-Looped System by Joe Tomicki (Probably bogus) - An inventor from Dallas, TX, is openly sharing a system that entails hooking up a motor to an alternator that powers a bank of batteries which powers a house through an inverter (similar to a solar setup). The three batteries in series that power the drive motor are manually topped off as needed through a battery charger that also plugs into the inverter. (PESWiki; December 4, 2012)
  • Featured / OS: Magnet Motors >
Mecsdgp Magnet Motor - A new video has been posted showing a small rotor with square magnets around the perimeter. It starts to turn and then accelerates (supposedly up to 6000 rpm) as a "reactor bar" is brought closer to it. Most likely just an air nozzle making it turn. (PESWiki; Dec. 18, 2009)
  • Magnet Motors > Screw-Magnet Motor Crude Prototype - Four rows of screws, off-set around a cylinder, appear to cause the cylinder to spin when a holder of four neodymium magnets is brought close to it. Many replications attempted, but none were successful.
  • Aluminum, Paper, Steel Electrostatic Energy Generator - YouTube user singerxyz posted videos showing two different set-ups that he came up with that appear to extract energy from the ambient environment. In one, he wrapped an aluminum tube from a lawn chair with paper (insulator), and then wound that with non-galvanized steel wire. The phenomenon is most likely chemical-based.
  • Tier 1 > MXLO Magnetic Motor with DC Generator (PESWiki Edition) - PES open sourcing project commenced March 3, 2004, with claim from MXLO of an easy-to-build magnetic motor. Within two weeks nearly 12 people had built one. None of the 14 reported attempts have produced a working unit.

Future Project Pages

Topics could include the following areas. When creating a specific project, name your file "OS:xyz:Main_Page" where xyz = an abbreviation for your project. All pages of your project will then need to be named with that prefix to keep things organized on the site. The following links are designed to be category indexes of related OS projects. There are several Magnetic Motor open sourcing projects, for example, and those would be listed under OS:Magnetic Motors

KEY: Open Source Tiers

  • Tier 0 = an idea that has not yet been built into a prototype
  • Tier 1 = claim to a working device, but has not been verified
  • Tier 2 = technology has been validated (preferably by PES)
  • Tier 3 = technology is being prepared for market
  • Tier 4 = technology is in the marketplace

FILE NAMING

Click here for Sample Formatting of an OS Project - We want to recreate this idea now in the Wiki format.
(The linked MXLO project did not actually result in a successful replication, but it did provide a fertile ground to prove the power of open sourcing.)

Note the key categories: Main_page • Latest • Translations • Forum (create a yahoogroup) • Instructions • Replications • Data • Supplemental • Theory • Legal • FAQ • Related sites • Contact

If you were creating a project XYZ here, for example, the links for the above key pages would be OS:XYZ:Main_Page • OS:XYZ:Latest • OS:XYZ:Translations • etc...

Sub-pages should be named like this OS:XYZ:Replications/Fred_Smith, which would be referring to a replication by Fred Smith of the XYZ device.

If Fred Smith wanted to further subdivide his index to describe "replication 1, replication 2, etc", he could name a file: OS:XYZ:Replications/Fred_Smith/Replication2

If you want your link to be more readable (preferable), you simple add a "|" followed by the desired link title, within the ... code. For example Fred Smith's First Replication of the XYZ Device would look like this:
Fred Smith's First Replication of the XYZ Device

External links take a single bracket [url] followed by a space, followed by the title you want. If you just want the ulr to show, just type the url, and wiki will automatically hyperlink it. If you put it within square brackets, with no space and title, then it will show up like a footnote.

See the "Help" button in the left-hand margin for more information about additional formatting and composition.
