A full match preview ahead of Saturday's Sky Bet Championship fixture against the Bluebirds at the Cardiff City Stadium (3pm kick-off).

Rowett on the test posed by Cardiff City...
"It will be a tough game. We know they have got Premier League quality because they have been in that division not so long ago. Their away form is really good, but it has been quite well documented by them that they would look to put an end to their run at home because they have not won for a while. You can look at that two ways, you can be naive and think that should be a great opportunity for us or you can be realistic and think they are going to be even more motivated to try and get that first win at home. I am sure they will be under Russell (Slade)."

Rowett on Blues replicating the away form they showed earlier in the campaign...
"We have got to go there and focus on our game. Apart from the Brighton and Ipswich game, which in both games we didn't play badly we just conceded poor goals at the wrong time. You look at the Brighton game, it was within our grasp with a penalty and we missed it. And at Ipswich we conceded poor goals when we were back in the game. We have got to replicate some of the earlier away form and that's something we will be hugely motivated to do"

Rowett on Cardiff missing a number of players because of injury...
"They have a lot of injuries but I don't think many of those players have featured recently. It's a story that might make us think 'Oh, wow, this is a great opportunity' but actually I don't think their team will change too much from the last two or three in which they have drawn with one of the best teams in the division at home, on Tuesday night against Bournemouth. We know it's going to be a difficult game but we also know little things we need to try and do to make the game easier for us."

Blues team news...
Stephen Gleeson is available for selection following the completion of his three game suspension. Michael Morrison (ankle), Gavin Gunning (knee) and Matt Green (knee) are all back in full training. If any of the three are to figure against the Bluebirds, it would most likely be Morrison.

Cardiff City team news...
Former Blues loanee Federico Macheda could figure for the Bluebirds after completing a one-game suspension. Ex-Blues midfielder Tom Adeyemi is likely to figure. Kadeem Harris is currently serving a three match ban. Cardiff have a number of players sidelined through injury. These include Anthony Pilkington, Lee Peltier, Conor McAleny, Nicky Maynard, Joe Mason, Kagisho Dikgacoi and Ben Turner. David Marshall will have a late fitness test.

Ticket news…
Blues have been allocated 2,159 tickets for this fixture and these are on general sale. They will only be on sale until 4pm today (Friday). Click here for pricing and purchasing details. Please note pay on the day will not be available to Blues fans at Cardiff City on Saturday.

Pyrotechnics...
Birmingham City Football Club would once more like to remind supporters about a zero tolerance policy with regard to the use and carrying of pyrotechnics. The lighting and throwing of pyrotechnics, including smoke bombs and flares, at football stadia is very dangerous and a serious offence. Any supporter identified to have committed such an act will be banned by the club and also subject to the possibility of criminal prosecution. Birmingham City Football Club will continue to work closely with the police, football authorities and ground authorities to stamp out this, and other types, of spectator misconduct. We would also like to remind supporters that if there are incidents of this nature in the future the Football Association have the power to impose a serious financial penalty on the club and order matches to be played behind closed doors. The club urges all supporters to assist us in this matter and help eradicate such an unlawful practice.

Match officials...
Graham Salisbury will take charge of Saturday's game. So far this season, the Lancashire-based official has refereed 28 games where he has produced a total of 110 yellow cards and six reds. The last Blues game he took charge of was our opening Championship game of the season away at Middlesbrough last August. That match ended in 2-0 win for the hosts. There were just two bookings, including Neal Eardley for Blues. Mr Salisbury will be assisted by Antony Coggins and Brian Durie.
