We’ll be using this section to publish modified files that relate to the DIYLILCNC. Files are labeled with the DIYLILCNC version they are derived from. Be aware of the testing status of each file (as indicated by the icons in the legend below). Further, please remember that we can’t be absolutely sure that community files contain no malware. Contact us if you’re interested in submitting content that would be useful to other builders.
- Solidworks 2009 Credit: Jacques Favreau. This file contains a full 3D conversion of the project (including all hardware) in Solidworks 2009 format. We’re not set up to view the contents at the moment, but it sounds awesome. Be among the first to download and evaluate! Download
- HobbyCNC Electronics enclosure Credit Gera. 3D assembled model and 2D DRAWINGS of the enclosure in AutoCAD DWG format. Download
- Having trouble with the layered file above? Here’s a zipped batch of 7 separate DXFs (2D, for laser cutting).
- Single Symbol AI File This file is based on the same document we released on the downloads page. All slots have been converted to a single symbol instance, meaning it should be easier to adjust the file for different material thicknesses. Download
- Individual DXF Files Credit: Michael Caron. Some builders have had issues dealing with the layered DXF file included in the official download. Here’s everything as individual DXF’s. Download
- DIYLILCNC 3D Model A 3D Rhino model of the assembled DIYLILCNC. We suggest this be used for visualization purposes rather than construction, as the patterns are from the late stages of the very first build. If you don’t have Rhino, you can download a demo for Windows or the beta for Mac. Download
- v1.0.2 CNC Cut Pattern Credit: Jack. Jack modified the panel designs so they can be cut on a CNC router with a 1/8″ flat end mill. Download
- Z sled modification for Dremel 300 Credit: Bill Hastings. The Dremel model listed in the plans has been discontinued; these files allow a model still in production to fit in the Z-sled. Download
- Pen Plotter Z-Cart Attachment Credit: Taylor Hokanson/Brian Stansbury. Turn your DIYLILCNC into a drawing machine like this one. Download
- Sample Toolpaths Credit: Chris Reilly. Sample G-code files to get you started once your DIYLILCNC is up and running. Some are for 3D models, others are for 2D pen plotting. Download
- EMC2 Configuration Settings Credit: Chris Reilly. Configuration files for the Linux-based controller software EMC2. These settings are based on our machine/PC, which may differ slightly from yours. Be sure to have a look at the readme for details on how to adapt for your setup. Download
