Significance
Several names were given to this Mosque such as Ihram Mosque or Miqat mosque as it is the place where people coming from Medina wishing to perform Umrah or Hajj enter into Ihram before they set for Mecca and it is one of the Miqats assigned by Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Also known as Abyar Ali because Caliph Ali Ibn Abi Talib (R) dug wells when he stayed at Dhul Hulayfa during the era of Caliph Othman Ibn Affan.
