With his tenth rebound Friday night vs. the Orlando Magic, Portland Trail Blazers power forward LaMarcus Aldridge became the franchise's all-time leader in rebounds.

The rebound came with two seconds remaining in the third quarter.

Prior to Friday's game, Aldridge told CSN Trail Blazers Insider Jabari Young that he wasn't aware how close he was to breaking Drexler's franchise record. In fact, coming into this season, he didn't know the historical season he was set to have.

“I’m not a guy that researches records or look at the books like that,” Aldridge said. “I just came in trying to have another good season and I just happened to be breaking all these records, which is a best within itself.”

In December, Aldridge passed Terry Porter for second on the franchise scoring list in the Blazers win over the Detroit Pistons. He had 12,286 points heading into Friday's game.

In January, Aldridge passed Jerome Kersey for second on the rebounding list in the loss the team's loss to the San Antonio Spurs, and then last month Aldridge posted his 220th career double-double, passing Sidney Wicks (219) for the most in franchise history.

“I don’t go into the game trying to be focused [on breaking records]. I think that’s when things go the wrong way for you. I just go in trying to get a win and just play at a high level.”
