Web Developer

This full service marketing agency are looking for a web developer to join their rapidly expanding team. You will need to have a good sense of humour and enjoy working within a team. They have grass on the office floor and picnic tables in the office to give you an idea of how they work.

In order to support their growth, they are looking for a new full-time member of staff to immediately partake in large projects, ongoing development and technical support.

The role will be mainly back end development (PHP, MySQL) but may also include some front end duties (HTML, CSS, Javascript, etc).

This is an opportunity for an independent developer to work with a close knit team with the potential for rapid growth within the company.

Initial responsibilities include:

- Full development of complex bespoke online systems
- Full development of both front end and back end websites
- Ability to work with CMS and Wordpress websites
- Develop existing websites adding/maintaining high quality functionality
- Work in a team of both technical and non-technical people
- Keep up-to-date with the industry as it develops

Skills required:

- Be completely fluent in MySQL, PHP and HTML
- A good understanding of CSS and Javascript
- Experience and understanding of .NET would be advantageous
- An understanding of OOP & MVC
- Appreciation of design considerations (UX design, speed optimisations).
- Experience of CodeIgniter and/or other PHP MVC framework would be desirable
- Knowledge of Linux LAMP servers would be advantageous
- The ability to manage your own time effectively on large projects
- Experience of working with ecommerce
- Version control is desirable but not essential
- Ability to work with other peoples' code

The ideal candidate will have experience and be able to provide an extensive portfolio of work. However design skills are not a requirement.
