Mr and Mrs Ramachari completed 50 successful days last Friday in 98 theatres all over Karnataka that included 20 multiplex screens. Santhosh Ananddram, the debut director says, “The team that worked on this film feels that they have got an ISI stamp of approval from the audience. Personally, what I grasp from this success is that we should from now on meet the standards set by  Ramachari or even strive higher throughout our career, irrespective of whether a film is  successful or not,” he says.

The film also sets a benchmark  in Kannada industry as going by the collection, Mr and Mrs Ramachari will soon join the 50-crore club.  “It should cross `50 crore. There is an assumption that Kannada market is very small and such achievements will prove that we are on par with other languages,” he says.

Mr and Mrs Ramachari is set for a global market splash as the film saw its release in California, Germany and Dublin. And, as per our director, in the coming days, the film will be released in Germany, Singapore, Malaysia, New Zealand and Qatar. Atlanta Nagendra, who has released the film in California shared an incident that occurred recently. “Apparently, there was such a huge turn out in California that the theatre owners decided to take off a Telugu film Gopala Gopala starring Pawan Kalyan and arranged to screen our film instead. The show was packed with people who had travelled for  miles. This is the love we are getting for our film.” he says.

Honoured by the huge response, Santhosh says, “I am not the sole reason for Ramachari’s success and the credit should go to the team, including producer Jayanna, actors Yash, and Radhika Pandit and music director V Harikrishna. I am just a small part of this enthusiastic team. It is just my luck that success came with my debut.”

The film is setting benchmarks both in Karnataka and abroad where it is getting a warm reception, say the akers .
