Jeff, Andre and myself return with another episode of The CineFiles. This time we take a cold, hard look at the prison movies. The genre that details the thrill of the escape plan. And the drama focusing on the survival of the inmates.

Keep in mind that this focuses on prison movies only and not prisoner of war flicks. That’s another topic for another time, folks. Some of the films discussed are the Sean Penn starring BAD BOYS, Frank Darabont’s THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION and THE GREEN MILE, the Robert Redford starring BRUBAKER, PAPILLION, Don Siegel’s ESCAPE FROM ALCATRAZ, COOL HAND LUKE, MIDNIGHT EXPRESS, the recently released STARRED UP plus many more. So we invite you to sit back, watch us ruminate on the penal systems of the world. As for me, I’m digging a tunnel from my pad in Brooklyn towards the bright light of freedom.
