Please note the change in liability insurance carrier for OKDHS homes. Even though this is not available for TFC and contracted homes, many TFC homes are dually certified. Losses due to children placed in these resources would be eligible for claims.

It's also a great way to NETWORK with other resource parents

Do you know other Resource Families? FCAO needs to find them. Because of privacy concerns we are unable to get a comprehensive list of foster and adoptive parents across our state to let them know more about our association. So we need your help, please take a few minutes to invite your friends who are foster and/or adoptive parents to join our Facebook group. Invite friends to our Group. FACO thanks so much for your help.

OK Foster Wishes

Although not everyone is called to foster or adopt a child from foster care, everyone feels the calling to serve the orphan. OK Foster Wishes shows people ways that they can get involved with a foster child without the commitment of becoming a foster family. Most people don't know that there are many ways to help a child in foster care like tutoring, buying a gift, or just taking them to the zoo for the day.

Did you know that you could apply for your child to have a mentor through Citizens Caring for Children as long as you live in the following counties: Canadian, Cleveland, Grady, Lincoln, Logan, Oklahoma and Pottawatomie? Please see this flyer for more information, or view the application here.
