Bournemouth Land Train

One of the best ways to appreciate the beauty of Bournemouth’s stunning beaches is to sit back and relax on one of the famous land trains as it takes a leisurely journey alongside the seafront.

You can travel along the promenade from Bournemouth Pier to Boscombe town centre, via the beautiful Boscombe Gardens or head in the other direction from Bournemouth Pier to Alum Chine Beach.



Heading east there are stops at Bournemouth Pier (East), East Cliff Lift, Toft Zigzag, Boscombe Precinct (opposite McDonalds) and Boscombe Pier and stops at Bournemouth Pier (west), West Cliff Lift, Durley Chine, Middle Chine and Alum Chine when heading west. The brightly coloured trains run from Easter to the end of October half term. They also operate a service in February half term and between Boxing day and 3rd January. Throughout the rest of the year they only operate at weekends and subject to weather conditions.

The prices for the Bournemouth Land Train for are as follows:

Adults (single) – £2.00
Junior (single, under 16) – £1.30
Freestyle card (single) – £1.30
Single stage fare (adults) – £1.20
Single stage fare (junior and freestyle) – £0.80
Family (single – 2 adults and up to 3 juniors) – £6.50
Unlimited day use per person – £5.00
Unlimited day use per family (2 adults and up to 3 juniors) – £18.00
Unfolded pushchairs and prams (peak times only) – £1.00
Under 5’s travel for free
Wheelchair users (plus one carer) travel for free
