Enjoy a wildlife adventure in this lovely park, set in 25 acres of unspoilt woodland in the lovely New Forest.
Get up close to the Sika, fallow and roe deer that roam freely throughout the park and watch the excitable otters squeaking and squealing at feeding time.
There are many amazing animals to see, from several species of owls and otters to wolves, bison, wild boar, red deer, muntjac deer, Scottish wildcats, lynx, wallabies, water voles, adders, foxes, polecats, pine martens and ferrets.
There are regular keeper talks throughout the day where you can hear all about these fascinating animals and watch them being fed and the park hold regular special events. When you arrive make sure you check at the entrance to the park for the times of daily keeper talks, feeding sessions or special events.
After all this animal excitement let young and old alike let off steam in the “Go Wild” Adventure Playground which has a zip wire, log jumble, ‘birds’ nests’ climbing ropes, swings and spider nets.
And for the younger visitors under 6 the “Mini Go Wild” features sand pits, diggers, slides, climbing frames and swings.
The park has a Woodlands Restaurant serving a range of tempting hot and cold snacks, home-baked cakes, mouth-watering cream teas and delicious New Forest ice-cream.
The New Forest Wildlife Park also offers a range of Keeper Experience Days for both children and adults where you can work on a one-to-one basis with one of their knowledgeable keepers and will give you first-hand experience of what it’s like to be a keeper and to spend your time looking after wildlife.
The park is approximately 24 miles from Bournemouth and 29 miles from Poole.
