1.  WHEN WILL THE 2014 FACTS, FIGURES AND RECORDS BOOK AND CFL RULE BOOK BECOME AVAILABLE?

The 2014 Facts, Figures and Records Book is available on Indigo online or you can send an email inquiry here. The 2014 Rules Book will be available in the early stage of the 2014 CFL Season.

 
2.  HOW CAN I PLAY IN THE CFL / WHERE CAN I TRYOUT FOR THE CFL?

The CFL does not hold general tryout camps. Our teams travel across North America on scouting trips as they see fit. Please visit CFL.ca/tryouts to find out where they will be holding their next scouting camp.

3.  WHEN WILL THE 2012 US BROADCAST SCHEDULE BECOME AVAILABLE?


The 2014 US Broadcast Schedule is availabe here. All games will be on ESPN3, and select games will either be televised on ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNNEWS. Please check back for the 2014 US Broadcast Schedule to see updated televised games throughout the 2014 CFL season.

6.  HOW DO I ORDER GREY CUP TICKETS?

The 2014 Grey Cup is scheduled to be held at BC Place in Vancouver, BC on Sunday, November 30, 2014. Click here for ticket information.

 
7.  HOW CAN I PURCHASE TICKETS TO CFL GAMES?

Tickets can be purchased by visiting our Tickets page. You can click on the team links to buy tickets online or call the team ticket offices at the numbers listed.

 
8.  WHERE CAN I FIND INFORMATION ON PAST CFL PLAYERS, STATISTICS AND ROSTERS, AND CFL HISTORY IN GENERAL?

Unfortunately we do not store a great deal of this type of information at the League office. However, information can be found via the Canadian Football Hall of Fame website. More detailed inquiries of should be forwarded to the Canadian Football Hall of Fame in Hamilton, Ontario.

 
9.  HOW DO I APPLY FOR A JOB WITH THE CFL?

Current job postings can be found on the CFL Job Board. Please note, all CFL clubs employ staff independently of the League office; therefore, club-related employment inquiries should be forwarded to the club directly.

 
10.  WHAT IS THE CFL PLAYOFF FORMAT?

The top team from each division automatically makes it to the Division Championships. Then, the second-place teams in each division host a Division Semi-Final game against the third-place team in their division. However, a situation may occur whereby the fourth-place team from one division has more points (not tied) than the third-place team from the opposite division. In this case, the fourth-place team would cross over into the opposite division and compete against the second-place team of that division.

Please note that at the end of the regular season the second-place team in a given division will always host a Division Semi-Final, regardless of the number of total points a team who crosses over may accumulate.

 
11.  HOW DOES THE NATIONAL (FORMERLY NON-IMPORT) PLAYER RULE WORK?

The following Players shall be classified as National Players (formerly non-import):
(a)    Canadian citizens at the time of signing of the Player’s first contract;
(b)    A Player classified as a non-import prior to May 31st, 2014;  OR
(c)    A Player who was physically resident in Canada for an aggregate period of five (5) years prior to attaining the age of eighteen (18) years.

A Player is classified as an International Player (formerly import) if the Player is one other than one referred to in the definition of a National Player (formerly non-import).

13.  HOW DO I BECOME AN ON-FIELD OFFICIAL?

The CFL draws most of its officiating staff from the ranks of CIS officials. All CFL officials started at the amateur level, officiating club team games or high school football. Each official worked their way up through a local association, moving progressively to working higher and higher levels of football.
