Request Transcripts

Transcript:

A transcript or Diploma Supplement is the academic history of each student, a comprehensive record of an individual’s academic progress, including transferred undergraduate courses, credit earned by examination and degrees awarded. The name of the student will appear on the transcript as it appears on their university records.

A transcript lists the titles and marks of the modules the student studied in each academic year. It gives the period of registration as a student, the degree date and the degree classification. Current and former students need a transcript or Diploma Supplement for employment, further education or immigration purposes.

Official transcripts include the university seal and the signature of the registrar. When mailed, transcripts arrive in sealed envelopes with seal and signature of the registrar across the back flap of the envelope.

Transcripts and Diploma Supplements are produced according to guidelines arising out of the Bologna Process, an intergovernmental initiative designed to create a European Higher Education Area (EHEA) by 2010 and to promote the European system of higher education worldwide. The University's Diploma Supplement conforms to the strict guidelines set out by NARIC and the Europe Unit of Universities. For these reasons, it is not possible for students to request additional information to be included on their Diploma Supplement.

Transcript Order Information

The following document describes the process for transcript requests. This process includes online payment via Paypal and requesting transcripts through the online form. All Paypal payments must be sent to support@egs.edu. The process requires an EGS student account and the completion of class evaluations for every class attended.

There is a charge of 15 United States Dollar (USD 15.00) for every transcript requested. Students can order as many as they wish, but it is recommended that they limit the order to the number of transcripts they really require. The fee covers the cost of processing, printing and standard mail/airmail.

1. Submit Payment:

One copy of the transcript (or diploma supplement) is provided to the student free of charge upon graduation, either on the day of the graduation ceremony or sent to the student if the student selects to graduate in absentia.

NOTE: Students must be 'in good standing' (with EGS tuition and fees paid) to request a transcript. Students must select the number of transcripts required, provide the EGS Student ID Number and the name, and complete the order via Paypal.
All Paypal payments must be sent to support@egs.edu. Please take note of the Paypal Transaction Number, the number will be needed in the following step, the Online Transcript Request.

2: Request Transcript:

Transcript requests are processed, documents prepared and dispatched as instructed, and sent through regular mail, normally within twenty business days following the placement of the Online Transcript Request. Please note that during certain periods of peak activity (e.g. registration in November/December, April/May and during the summer intensive seminars June/July and August/September) students may experience some delay in this regard.

Only courses taken at the European Graduate School will appear on your transcript, students are required to submit class evaluations for every class they have taken. Requests will not be held for grades or degrees that have not been included in the class evaluations or in the student profile of European Graduate School. Students must have completed the class evaluation for every class with their EGS student accounts and email addresses before requesting a transcript.

Transcript requests cannot be fulfilled if students have a financial hold preventing issuance of transcripts.

Since payment must accompany each order, we no longer accept emailed or faxed transcript requests. To access the Online Transcript Request Form please click here.

The registrar of European Graduate School will send an unofficial transcript to the email address, students and alumni are required to verify that all updates including current term grades, grade changes and that degree remarks have been placed on the transcript. Please note that it is unlikely that an employer, educational institution or immigration agency will accept an unofficial transcript in this format as supporting documentation.

Formal Transcripts and Diploma Supplements are produced on bespoke paper with enhanced security features added and are the common format accepted by employers, educational institutions and immigration agencies as supporting documentation.
