The Lyon L’Open Tour is an ideal way to discover the history, culture, traditions and shopping of one of France’s largest cities. You can stay on the bus and get a great overview of this epicure city, or get off at one of the 11 stops for a closer view.

Some highlights include Bellecour Square, one of France’s largest public squares and gathering spot for people watching. See and taste the freshest food at Marche Saint Antoine. Walk Vieux (Old) Lyon and across Bonaparte Bridge, admiring the Renaissance architecture. Stop at Republique, the main shopping avenue. Enjoy the trendy shops and bouchons – noted restaurants serving traditional Lyonnais cuisine paired with a convivial atmosphere. With a stop at the Rhone River cruise port, you could hop off the bus and hop on a bateaux for a relaxing rendezvous down this scenic waterway.

Here’s what’s included:

    • A choice of 1 or 2 day consecutive pass.
    • 11 stops throughout Lyon.
      • Summer departures every 60 minutes.
      • Winter departures every 105 minutes.

    • Hours of Operation:
      • Summer hours are 9:30 am - 5:00 pm.
      • Winter offers 4 tours daily at: 10:00 am, 11:30 pm, 2:00 pm & 4:00 pm.
    • Tour Operates:
      • Summer: April - October.
      • Winter: November  - March.
    • Tour is not available on December 5 - 8, December 25 and January 4 - 21, 2016.
    • Voucher must be exchanged within 6 months of purchase.

  • Bellecour Square – one of the France’s largest public squares surrounded by 17 & 18th century architecture
  • Terreaux – City Hall, Opera House, Fine Arts Museum, & Croix Rousse Hill (area for weaving silk)
  • Mur Peint / Saint Vincent – Saint Vincent Church & the painted walls of Lyon (large frescos painted on the side of buildings)
  • Marche Saint Antoine – location of one of France largest food markets
  • Saint Jean / Vieux Lyon – the old town, Bonaparte Bridge, St Jean Cathedral & Renaissance architecture
  • Confluence – Kitchener Bridge, Perrache Railway Station and the Confluence district
  • Notre Dame de Fourviere – Notre Dame de Fourviere Basilica and the Hauteurs Parc footbridge
  • Parc des Hauteurs – Loyasse cemetery & Hauteurs Park (large park developed in urbanized area)
