Apparently a German plane was crashed into the French Alps by a depressed German co-pilot who just wanted to die.

Quote

Separately, President Joachim Gauck of Germany attended a memorial service in Haltern am See on Friday for the 16 high school students and two teachers who died in the crash, German news reports said. He was accompanied by the state premier of North Rhine-Westphalia, Hannelore Kraft. He was also to meet with friends and families of the victims.

Carsten Spohr, the chief executive of Lufthansa, said on Thursday that Mr. Lubitz had passed the company’s health checks with “flying colors.”

Poor choice of words, perhaps.  As most people here know, one of my favorite subjects is the relationship between SCALE and mental illness, particularly forms of illness such as depression, anxiety, and ADHD which have no obvious direct cause.  I posit that factors like atomization, transactionalism, and competitive pressures place people closer to a breaking point, so that it is easier for a cycle of escalating mental illness to take hold.  Once it does, people have fewer resources to help them emerge from this breakdown, and eventually they have no choice but to write bitter screeds about a congenial forum admin.

Nevertheless, I think that flying a plane of 150 people into a mountain is completely outrageous, and that being a suicidal maniac is not a very good excuse.  It turns out Stephanie Bolland (why is it always a woman?) vehemently disagrees, and I just need to get over my cis-sanity bullshit.

Quote

Yesterday, a press conference shared the news that the co-pilot in the Germanwings crash may have brought the plane down intentionally. Furthermore, it’s been revealed that he had a history of depression, at one point taking a break from his training.

In terms of “topics you might want to cover a bit sensitively”, this one ranks pretty high. But the front pages this morning have admirably stuck to their line of being as awful as possible.

Cue display of tabloid shock headlines.

Urges to be more sensitive always seem to come from some berating cow who is in love with making people listen to her frequently deranged opinions.

Quote

Look, I won’t speculate on what might be behind the Germanwing pilot’s actions, because like these papers I don’t actually know yet. But what I do know is that asking in massive bold font why someone with a history of depression was allowed to have their (sic) job is misleading and ridiculous.

That's jumping to conclusions--maybe it was a herstory of depression, you filthy misogynist cunt.  This 100% sexist twat continues, warming to her theme that there's nothing bad about being crazy:

Quote

If we followed the Mail’s logic, the economy would be screwed. Because people with mental illnesses hold down jobs all the time. According to the Mental Health Foundation, 1 in 4 British adults experience a diagnosable mental health problem in any one year.

I think that just means they're British.  Probably once Sharia law is instituted these numbers will come down.

Quote

As prescient commenters were quick to point out, it’s statistically likely that the paper has a number of people on staff who suffer from one. All over the world, people with mental health problems manae to work reliably in important jobs: as doctors and nurses, in the police, as firefighters, as politicians.

Indeed, the governor of Minnesota is a medicated depressive lunatic, and our own president is a bipolar homo.  Hillary Clinton has actual brain damage from one of her many mini-strokes.  And yet they all perform their jobs (reading speeches and having their pictures taken holding the New York Times to prove they're still alive) perfectly.

Quote

The truth is, most of us rely on people with depression all throughout our everyday lives – in the vast majority of cases, we don’t even spot it. What must it be like to go through the world outraged by this? Are these folks kept awake at night by the fact that people with depression sometimes drive cars with passengers in? How do they deal with the clinically depressed having children? (Actually, don’t answer that, I’d really rather not know.)

It turns out another stupid, middle-aged woman, Grauniad "journalist" Elena Cresci, has been twittering around the clock about this critical issue, whining about it in the passive-aggressive language of a certain MPC chat fixture.  Let's take a look at a random sample of her Twitter feed.

Posted Image

Whoops, I didn't mean to focus on this insensitive detractor.  Here's another.

Posted Image

Throwing around the word "crazy" when the subject is sensitivity for the criminally insane?  This jackass doesn't even know how to read.

Posted Image

I have to grudgingly admit this lout has a point.  Elena Cresci is talking like black people don't even exist.

Posted Image

Is she saying she doesn't want to see or hear black people's opinions?  Disgusting.

Posted Image

Elena Cresci tackles other important subjects of interest to a narrow spectrum of weak whytes:

Quote

We asked our readers whether they had experienced homophobia in their day-to-day lives after a BBC radio presenter held hands with one of his male reporters on a Luton street and was shocked by the casual discrimination they encountered. Those who got in touch told us a range of stories, from stares for holding hands to outright physical violence. Here are a selection of their submissions

 Grauniad credentials established!

I thought it hadn't been confirmed he had depression, only that he was on a leave (I mean he didn't have it now, not when he interrupted his training or whatever).

Let's face it: being depressed does not make you want to kill 150 people. Not even being suicidal because of depression. It doesn't fit even with the (rare itself) "extended suicide" thing where someone kills himself along with people he wants to "protect" (think of a dad taking his life together with that of his children because they are going to be evicted/run into massive debt/whatever).

It sounds more like dude was schizophrenic or something to be able to pull that off. I heard someone suggest he was a gay dude who got crazy because of a "love" rejection and decided to take it on the world, cos gays are usually unstable like that.

To the harpies in the OP, the real skill for a depressed person is holding down a job at all, and no distinction can be made between the vastly disparate skill sets and levels of public responsibility required in different job fields. Therefore there's no reason why an incredibly technical job that demands long hours, is constantly moving its employees between time zones, and which holds hundreds of lives in the balance should vet those employees' mental health any more carefully than a burger flipper. To them this represents the insensitivity of our news media and not a massive public safety failure on the part of the airline.

I'm giving these bishes too much credit though, because they probably scan headlines for anything that could be tagged with "mental health", waiting to wind up into the same monotone wail of care / harm every time. Retarded mainstream conservatives are equally to blame for playing right into this "mental health" meme as of late - after Sandy Hook they genuinely thought it was their best line of defense against gun control, even though it's an offshoot of long tradition of leftist compassion toward criminals.

At any rate, a pretty creepy story. Lubitz was not only silent but apparently breathing normally right till the end. The rescue effort has cleared most of the plane debris and will be working on body part recovery for some time.

The Tree of Knowledge has been plucked bare, and the War Pigs are gorging on a feast of its fruits. In their ravenous gluttony, they swallow it all and shit out the seeds, sowing a garden of horrors that we -- all of us -- shall reap. No sacred secret is spared; not the forces of nature, not the human mind, not the fundamental stuff of life, nor the building blocks of the universe itself. There is no territory the sinister technologists refuse to explore in their quest for Maximum Pain. Their lust for death is so strong, they've even begun creating a robotic army to extend their grim work through the twilight of our species, and beyond.

Imagine it. Metallic security guards, propelled by deathless power cells, crunching and gliding over a rotting graveyard planet. I can think of no more fitting legacy.

"Many"?  This is how shitlibs routinely destroy their point with gratuitous overstatement.

It is possible for a depressive personality to accomplish something.  Although it's far more likely that they spend their lives spinning their wheels due to their illness.  To a shitlib this is wrongthought, once you find out someone is ill in any way you must cease attributing any of their problems to that illness and regard them as AN HERO.  (Unless of course they are racist in which case they must be destroyed.)

It's like saying because some famous actor is bipolar you should have no qualms about marrying one.  Don't they deserve love too, asshat?  But then your kids deserve a non-crazy parent.

It should go without saying that if your job holds you responsible for the well-being of others, mental illness is out.  We do not need depressive airline pilots, schizophrenic neurosurgeons, pedophile teachers, sociopathic cops.  People like Matt Haig are out of their minds with WEIRDness, stuck in a pattern of defending the Imperial Self against any encroachment of responsibility or duty.

One of the (current) left's defining characteristics is that it sacralizes the interior self:

Because depression is interior, it's wrong to talk about others being depressed and deduce statistically defensible conclusions from it.

Because the way a person feels about their gender is interior, we're all supposed to tiptoe around manifestations of those feelings that make no biological or social sense.

Because cognition is interior, it's bad and wrong to mention that some people (yea, even some races of people) are better raw reasoning and retention than others.

If the world stands another 500 years, and if anyone from that time has both the ability and the inclination to tell our story, I think this taboo will puzzle them more than anything else. Imagine a people who visited space, and then stopped going, because the (race/sex) composition of the team who made it possible to go made the public speculate that not everyone in the civilization's mind was exactly the same on the inside.

That's crazy, but that's us.

Did he have the "I'm a little stinker" smirk on his face as he flew the plane into the mountain? - Pman asks.

Quote

Lubitz had reportedly ordered two new Audis for them just before the tragedy in an apparent desperate last attempt to win her back. But she appeared to have rejected his offer, as only one car was ever delivered.

It is not known why they split but it has been claimed their relationship broke down because he was secretly gay and was suffering torment over hiding his homosexuality.

One report claimed he was taunted by fellow pilots for previously being a 'trolley dolly' airline steward and dubbed 'Tomato Andy' - a derogatory gay slur - by colleagues.

Come to think of it, he did have a serious case of the gay face going on - good eye, ENJ:

I checked my email this morning, and for some reason, I'm on this European Knights mailing list. I checked out the link to their page, and found this story.

http://www.europeank...ist-jew-geller/

The article just talks about how Lubitz is (apparently) a Jewish surname. The article claims Lubitz just had a "75 year old axe to grind", and might have been a homo. If Lubitz were a Diddler on the Roof (holy holy! the combined narcissism of a Jew and a fag?!), it would be of no surprise. I think it's what we were all thinking anyways.

a f****t couldnt kill 149 people because he was mentally ill.. he was just blinded. he manually locked the other pilot out of the cabin on accident bc of his slightly impaired visual acuity.

The source looks like bullshit but I looked into it anyway. The surname is rare, the Tog Test (type "Rabbi Lubitz" into Google) gives us at least one Rabbi Lubitz and Wikipedia has several references to sources named Lubitz which suggest Jewishness. That said, his mother was a church organist and he wouldn't be the only gentile in Germany with a Jewish surname, the odds of him meeting the Nuremberg Laws criteria for Jewishness are pretty low.

We know he's a fag and we can blame the fags for this, we don't need him to be Jewish, there are plenty of other things we can legitimately blame the Jews for.
