Simon, who was the last of the Jets' six picks this year, is the second to officially sign with the organization. Texas A&M; offensive guard Jarvis Harrison, a fifth-round pick, signed on Wednesday.

The rookie wage scale means that draft picks have slotted salaries, which takes away any negotiation for rookie contracts that used to occur.

Like all rookies, Simon will receive a four-year contract from the Jets. According to overthecap.com's projection, Simon (the 223rd overall pick) will receive a deal with a maximum value of $2,353,296. That includes a $73,296 signing bonus — the only guaranteed money in his contract. His yearly salary cap figures will be $453,324, $543,324, $633,324 and $723,324.

The Jets' unsigned picks are defensive end Leonard Williams (first round), wide receiver Devin Smith (second round), outside linebacker Lorenzo Mauldin (third round) and quarterback Bryce Petty (fourth round). The Jets will hold a three-day rookie minicamp, Friday through Sunday, at their facility in Florham Park.
