The Royal Serbian Rose Society (Kraljevsko Udruzenje Ljubitelja Ruza Srbije)was founded in May 2008. It is dedicated to rose growing and the preservation of old varieties of roses. The Society promotes love for roses and offers companionship, information on the latest varieties, and rose growing tips to all rose lovers. It offers its members an annual magazine, rose events and an annual visit to the Royal Palace gardens in Belgrade.
The patron of the Society is HRH Crown Prince Alexander II.
The Society, as a registered citizens’ organization, aims to share the knowledge of roses and proper rose growing by means of education, training, trials, publications, and promotion of display gardens.
The Society, where possible, provides help with any rose related problems, from finding a specific rose through to identifying roses as well as providing general and specific rose care advice.
