ATI 425® Alloy
ATI 425® Alloy delivers a whole new performance profile for aerospace, defense and industrial applications. Read our product specifications page for more details, or the download the ATI 425® Alloy data sheet (see Product Documents in right column) for complete information. Available as alloyed titanium plate, sheet & coil, billet, bar, tubing and wire/fastener stock, as well as casting, forging, and machined components.
ATI 425® Alloy is a continuously processed alpha+beta high-strength Ti alloy with a desirable mix of strength (comparable to Ti 6-4 alloy) and improved formability. The numerous manufacturing and quality attributes associated with this innovative alloy provide excellent opportunities for cost-reductions making it the material of choice for a broad range of applications where the performance of Ti alloys is demanded.
ATI 425® Alloy is certified to AMS specification 6946 and recently has been qualified into the MMPDS handbook, with design allowables for sheet and plate available for commercial aerospace design. Attributes such as a tighter gauge tolerance, more consistent surface finish, lower forming temperatures and broader availability of lengths and gauges from plate to foil thicknesses, are among the attributes available with ATI 425® Alloy. These attributes are beneficial to aerospace designers and fabricators in search of decreasing the costs associated with alloy titanium sheet applications.
