Bethesda was enamored by the iPhone back when it was developing Fallout 3 in 2007. So much so that it wanted to develop its own mobile game! Well, eight years later in 2015, here we are!

Fallout Shelter is coming to iPhones, and in playing it, you’ll be charged with managing your own your vault. Assign jobs, send out scouts, make babies, day to day activities that any vault manager must assign and manage.

Bethesda confirmed that it will not require an internet connection to play and won’t be a freemium title. Everything will be available at your finger tips. No tokens or countdown meters. It’s just a solid looking management game inspired by XCOM, Tiny Tower, and FTL, and it uses the cute Vault Boy art style to excellent effect.

Bethesda surprised the crowd by announcing that it would be available tonight on the App Store. Keep an eye out for it.
