1 Arrested in CR Bank Robbery

CEDAR RAPIDS, IA (CBS2/FOX28) -- One person has been arrested and charged in connection to a bank robbery in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday.

It happened at the Community Savings Bank, 3414 Mount Vernon Road SE at 2:32 PM, according to a release from the city.

At 2:37 PM, officers located a vehicle in the area of East Post Road and Lakeside Drive SE believed to be involved in the bank robbery. The suspect vehicle then allegedly led officers on a vehicle chase, and officers apprehended the suspect in the area of the Cedar Rapids Police Department Shooting Range located on Old River Road SW at 2:48 PM.

The suspect is identified as Christopher L. Feeney, 42, of Cedar Rapids.  Feeney was charged with two counts of Robbery 2^nd Degree, Theft 2^nd Degree and numerous traffic violations, and transported to the Linn County Jail.

No weapons were used and nobody was injured during the robbery, pursuit or arrest.
