Sharing Economy Workers Need ‘Safety Net,’ U.S. Senator Says
The Wall Street Journal is more honest about this than Senator Warner, as they describe Uber, TaskRabbit and other exploitative tech companies as the "so-called sharing economy". There is no sharing going on! Rather, business is making all the money, while young people are underpaid and taxpayers fund excessive corporate profits. I really object to the idea of the "sharing economy". It is a misnomer, and euphemism, in my opinion.
