It is a human nature to make mistakes, but mistakes in source code can lead
to expensive consecutive mistakes if not fixed in time. Unfortunately, black
box testing often cannot fully cover software. And even if it does, fixing a
bug found by QA is at least two times as expensive as fixing it before
issuing a build. Performance bottlenecks, security, scalability and
reliability issues should be identified as early as possible. This is where
code review comes in.
Code review, which is also known sometimes as peer review, is a set of
systematic examination measures used to critique computer code with the
objective of finding and fixing bugs early in the development stage in order
to develop high quality software and perfect skills of developers for future
projects.
Carrying out regular code reviews has the advantages of saving money and
time, having to fix fewer err... (more)

In this demo at 15th Cloud Expo, Ermanno Bonifazi, CEO & Founder of Solgenia,
introduces Solgenia Powua, a platform that allows developers and cloud

Agile Application Migration & Modernization
The market transition from education and evaluation to remediation is
marching along as the End of Support (EOS) nears for Windows Server 2003. The
market has moved from being unaware of the challenge that EOS would pose for
most IT organizations at the beginning of 2014 to POCs, trials, and
evaluating how to get help with these projects by the end of 2014. You can
get a sense of how the market has moved by reading the 2014 Windows Server
2003 End of Support Survey Results.

Will DevOps Become the Norm?
All prognosticators, even us who simply roll out a single annual list, hope
for two things: one, that your predictions get a lot of traction and shares
across the industry, and two, that you end up actually being correct.
Anil Batra’s list of 2014 predictions has turned a lot of heads, largely
due to the fact that he led off with such a bold one. “DevOps teams become
the norm, not the exception.” While you would imagine that the DevOps
faithful and its believers would be the biggest fans of this coming true this
year, I would argue that it’s software ... (more)
Managing projects is not an easy job and in most cases the manager would
greatly benefit from the use of a dedicated software. Starting from this
necessity project management tools were created. But the main problem is if
these tools are a real help for those that are using them or it is just a
loss of time.
It is a well-known fact that computers became a necessity in our lives by
simplifying our work. Increased computational speed, huge memory and lack of
fatigue are the main reasons why computers have so much success. Let’s
admit it: in certain aspects robots are better that h... (more)

Even more worrisome, most companies are relying on legacy approaches to security that are no longer capable of meeting current threats.
