Alexandra Shulman, OBE

Editor-in-Chief, Vogue

The warm and wonderful doyenne of fashion editors, Alexandra Shulman remains at the heart of British fashion with 22 years at the head of style bible Vogue under her belt. With two parents in the journalism industry, Shulman claims that the idea of becoming a writer was her ‘idea of a nightmare’, and that she wanted to be a hairdresser instead. Even with these initial industry preconceptions, under Shulman’s editorship, readership of the glossy has risen to over one million. Despite being regarded principally as an esteemed journalist and a fashion editor second, Shulman is never out of vogue.
