DCNS seeks to double its turnover by 2020. This increase will depend on a very significant upturn of the Group and its suppliers’ global performance.
DCNS’s commitments towards its suppliers
The DCNS group is committed to developing fair and mutually beneficial longstanding relationships with its suppliers.
The Charter on relations with suppliers restates these commitments and matches DCNS’s ethical approach. The Charter applies to all DCNS collaborators who work directly with suppliers and subcontractors.
The Charter defines the principles and values to set up in terms of ethics and contractual relationships.

DCNS not only plays a major part in the labor pool where it is established, but it also leaves a lasting impression on the industrial and economic fabric of these labor pools, and particularly with respect to the SMEs.
The Group’s supplier panel is made up of 2/3 of SMEs as well as middle-market companies. In 2013, it deployed an action plan in their favor.The DCNS SME Plan aims to :
- ensure fair treatment of these businesses,
- help them expand their global performance,
- spot the technologies and innovations that will be successful tomorrow.
The Group’s expectations towards its suppliers
DCNS links its suppliers and subcontractors to its performance and to its growth, which implies that they are closely linked to its CSR policy.
Hence, DCNS asks its suppliers and subcontractors to adhere to the “Code of Conduct for Suppliers”. This document states the Group’s expectations in governance, environment, human rights and social matters.
Supplier and subcontractor support for this Code of Conduct is completed by signing an “Act of Engagement”.
