On the LMN series Monster in My Family, Mildred Muhammad, the ex-wife of convicted D.C. Sniper John Allen Muhammad, talks about her life with her abusive husband. After going on a three-week shooting spree around the D.C area, shooting 27 people, 17 of them fatally, John Muhammad was executed by lethal injection in 2009. Mildred told The Associated Press that she and her three children (John, 19, Salena, 17, and Taalibah, 16) watched news coverage of his execution at their Maryland home. When his death was announced, Mildred said the children went into different rooms and cried. That year, Mildred published a memoir titled Scared Silent.

Muhammad’s teen accomplice, Lee Boyd Malvo, is serving a life sentence without parole. He too will be featured on the LMN show Monster in My Family, which airs Wednesdays at 9pm on LMN.
