Right to Dream have won the Manchester United Premier Cup for the first time in their history, beating Genoa 4-3 on penalties in the final at the AJ Bell Stadium.
The Ghanaian side lived up to their reputation as a team to watch after emerging victorious in the Marveld tournament earlier this year. Frazer Robertson's youngsters edged out their Italian rivals to lift the Nike-sponsored trophy at the seventh time of asking. There was heartbreak for Genoa who did not concede a goal throughout the four-day event and pipped Right to Dream to top spot in Group B.
Earlier on Thursday, United concluded their campaign with a 2-1 reverse to RB Leipzig, with Greenwood scoring, a first actual defeat of the tournament following a penalty shoot-out loss to Chertanovo Football Academy.
