Nick D'Aloisio

INVENTOR OF SUMMLY

At the age of 17, Nick D’Aloisio hit the headlines when internet giant Yahoo bought his iPhone app Summly for a reported £19million. Managing to avoid the stereotypical computer geek image of a teen tech genius and yet retain an air of humility almost unrecognisable with such success, D’Aloisio inspires his own generation and is admired by the rest. His innovation and brains have allowed publishers to connect with a younger audience by reforming the way in which smartphones present news articles. D’Aloisio currently studies at the University of Oxford whilst simultaneously fulfilling his duties on Yahoo News Digest as Product Manager.
