Located in upstate New York (northwest of New York City), Binghamton University is part of the State University of New York system and enrolls close to 17,000 students in programs leading to bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees. Along with Harpur College of Arts and Sciences — from which we get our liberal arts foundation — we have five professional schools: College of Community and Public Affairs, Decker School of Nursing, Graduate School of Education, School of Management and Thomas J. Watson School of Engineering and Applied Science. Our students choose from 130 interdisciplinary academic programs, and even as freshmen, have the chance to work with faculty on some of the most innovative research in the nation.
Binghamton is a campus committed to sustainability, diversity, and health and wellness. Our 930-acre campus includes a 190-acre Nature Preserve. We have 21 Division 1 athletic teams and more than 280 student clubs, including everything from a cappella groups and the debate team to rock climbing and rugby. We give you access to 600+ study-abroad programs. And, if you want to graduate with less student debt (and who doesn’t?), listen to the Princeton Review, which rates Binghamton as a top 10 value for public universities based on academics, cost of attendance and financial aid.
Combining less student debt with stellar academics and a strong career development program gives Binghamton graduates a significant advantage in their future endeavors. Couple that with a network of 120,000 alumni worldwide who are eager to open doors for new alumni and the future is bright for Binghamton graduates.
