Great Update
Really liking the updated interface. It's simple, clean, and functional. No fancy tricks but it doesn't need any to achieve it's goal of delivering content. Just because the human interface guideline says to use a tab bar, doesn't make the drawer-style menu bad. In this context where there are lots of options, it works better. The content also continues to be great. The missing star is for a lack of ability to change typeface, and for the ability to in app purchase to remove ads. Overall great job.
UX + UI
You need to hire a UX Designer and a UI Designer. The way you have your app set up is ill-conceived. Default the four most important parts of your app to four tabs at the bottom of the screen and if you have anymore tabs, put a more tab on the right. Please stop using a hamburger menu - it's flawed logic and any good product designer would tell you the same thing. Right now you have a poor experience that makes users feel unconsidered. You are lazy with design and therefore unsuccessful. Act quick or natural selection will eat you up.
Please fix these issues!
You have great content, but every couple of months you guys try to ruin your app with updates that set you back not forward. Links inside articles don't work at all. Also please fix the refreshing problem that happens randomly while I'm scanning story headlines. Adjust it to ALWAYS allow me to stay where I left off when I return to the home page from reading an article. Now it always just randomly places me back at the top even when no new content was added.
